Who is the Japa

Grandson of Okinawa,
son of Brazilian comedy

Marcos Aguena grew up helping his parents at the street market in Osasco, dreaming of the stage. Grandson of Japanese immigrants from Okinawa, he became “the Japa” — turning his roots into a trademark.

Before fame came more than 2,000 parties and events as an entertainer: clown, magician, puppeteer, children’s theater. He graduated in Advertising at Anhembi-Morumbi and in voice work at SENAC, and started on radio and TV in 1989, at TV Manchete.

His eight years at Pânico cemented the name. He voiced characters, wrote the show’s opening for five years and helped build the catchphrases audiences repeated. In that period the show won the Troféu Imprensa for best comedy program in 2005.

Today he combines the stand-up stage — since 2009 — with the radio mic and the meeting room: he is a communicator, consultant and communication mentor, with shows on Energia 97 FM and Rede Melphis. All of that is what he brings, finely tuned, to your company’s stage.
